Default 20 or 30 Psi boost guage?

Gna get one of these.
Autometer Phantom 52mm 35psi Boost Gauge 5704 £46.50
Autometer Phantom 52mm 20psi Boost Gauge 5701 £51.50

So why is the lower Boost one more expensive? lower range more accurate?
Will the 20 be enuf 4 me? Uk My00 running 270BHP.

20 PSI is a bit stingy if you end up modifying the car a bit more. With say a TD05, six speed box and intercooler you might find that your UK engine provides a lot of fun at 25 PSI and holds together even if driven like a lunatic. Once felt these individuals become addicted to boost and the chance of melting their engine would only be an opportunity to further feed their consumptive habits...

Even a TD04 can feel good at over 20 PSI if properly setup and not necessarily break anything.

I'd have to agree, I bought a 1.5bar (~22psi) and once my td04 was mapped it hits 1.4 bar peak (occasionally 1.5). So maybe I should have gone for the 2 bar, although as it is I'm making full use of the gauge's range (ie easier to see and if you like that sort of thing looks more impressive).

so what should my car hit ?

MY05STI PPP -my gauge shows a peak of about 20psi and drops back to 16psi at high revs. Never peaks below 18 psi normally 19-20, has hit 21 once or twice unders certain conditions.
