The best thing to do is buy a set of white dials from Lockwood (or similar) that read 160 mph and then get the speedo converted.

I've seen a few on ebay for about £45. Not sure about any other places.

Hmm?? Sounds a bit strange the speedo going to 110MPH. Has someone already replaced the dial and does your car cut-out at 107mph?

Normally the 97 has a cable drive speedo that goes up to 180Kmh's. (107mph = 171kmh)

You buy and fit a 8/5 gearing box that fits in the cable and drops the speed to the speedo so that you have to be doing 171mph to hit the limiter.

All you do then is fit a MPH sticker.

I reckon so. Get a JDM dash and change the clock.

The only thing that could screw it, is if they have fitted a UK gearbox at some time???
