Default Spark Plugs

How much of a bitch are they to replace on the drive ?

I have a Misfire/Hesitation off boost, only when driving and around 2700 rpm, accelerates fine, will replace the Plugs and Coil pack see if it goes, if not look at the MAF.

Also sometimes eratic tick over from 250-800, sometimes it will even stall, Ive done a search and there are **** loads of posts about it but no one says weather replacing the MAF fixed the problem? is that the case?

V plate UK no mods apart from Lightend flywheel.

Plugs are fairly easy to do, remove the air box on the off side and washer bottle on near side and you should have enough room to get at them

does sound like the maf, unplug it and try to start the car, if it still runs then the ecu has compensated for it.

Plugs are a half hour job max, like mr wid says just remove the airbox and washer bottle, plenty of room to change them.

Thanks for you info Jay,

Ive unpluged the MAF and car still starts, does that mean its knackerd and the ECU has compensated?

I have a new MAF to go in I picked it up this morning, so if i fit that and reset the ECU (Battery disconnect for an hour or so) should be ok?

I take it if everything is running ok then if you disconnect the MAF and try to start thr car it shouldnt start ?
