I have a standard UK MY99 with just a Afterburner vortex backbox

what would be the best gauges to monitor the engine

Oil gauge ?
Boost ?
Knocklink ?
etc

PS - I know sod all about engines but keep reading on this site about blowin the damn things up

most seem to go for boost, oil pressure and oil temp. the knocklink is not available as a coventional 52mm diameter guage. it uses five leds to indicate noise from the engine and comes in an ugly black plastic casing. however the leds can be removed from the unit and repositioned wherever u want them.
