Well with Powerstation you'll probably be nearer 380 / 350 as they do tend to be more favourable to the customers ears !!!!

Had the car run at the clinic and was 321bhp powerstaion 326bhp both gave 301 ftlb torque !
Have been to 2 open days at powerstation and have seen quite a few scooby owners with dissapointed results,I would have thought powerstaion rollers were defo not generous ones.

Anyone else ?

Fangoria Why would booster make a big difference if the cars mapped say for optimax 98ron ??
Just curious as ive never bothered with it ..Maybe more gains to be had yet ?

Mapped to Optimax, using no octane boost

Thought it was Power engineering that gave high bhp figuers not Powerstation

Booster - makes a huge difference
I dint know if you had included this when you mapped the car
I use one full bottle of NF every fill up (costs me about £10 a bottle) but it gives me significant ignition advance and hence power..........

I would expect you to get about
315bhp and about 280lbs..............

I have a similar spec to you but with Guppe S headders.

6 weeks ago the car ran 370 x 320 at Powerstation.
6 months ago the very same car ran 407 x 340 at Well Lane.........

Graham.

I'd say 350/340 maybe the top mount being the limiting factor.

And if i was you I'd bin the Blitz tea strainer in the interest of engine and turbo longevity.

I dont think you will be disapointed

Pavlo mapped my car around the same time as you. Think me and you did PM each other around the time.

Mine also goes on the dyno Saturday but at scoobyclinic. I shall also post results on here..
Dont think I will be disapointed either after the times it clocked at Santa pod on Sunday, but we will see .

Have a simular spec to you but still using the standard TD05 16g. however mine was mapped to optimax + booster

Maybe you should have had it mapped with booster as some mappers claim upto a 10% increase in power with booster and its only £3 a bottle ( millers )

Andy

to be honest man powerstation have that fan that goes right over ur TMIC and i hear that is a serious thing for power release, the usual fan in front is supposed to be nowhere near as affective!!

why many others don't use some sort of fan on the TMIC I don't know.

Powerstation could obviously see the benefits of this back in 2002..... (if not earlier, but that pic is no older than 2002 as I didn't own the car before that. )

Andy C

How different are these rollers to the ones they had at Cheltenham - do they read about the same or are they more favourable?

I think I've posted loads of times that the runs on several occassions on bhp have been very similar to that place in Aylesbury (G Force? is it) on the same day

But hey it made me plough loads of money into the car and I've learnt a fair bit over the years............

and I will put the car on the rollers soon - but only when I know for sure I'll be over 500bhp!!

Dyno Dynamics Rolling Roads are the way to go To be fair, putting a fan directly above a tmic probably cools it more than it would eveer see on the road and how often do you drive down the road with your bonnet up letting all the underbonnet heat escape? Shut the bonnet and direct air at the intercooler from the front of the car as it would see on the road for a more realistic result.

When there are fans made compact enough to fit in the dyno room producing the force you would normally see on the road then we'll shut the bonnet..

How did you get on m8?

Mine got 342/266

Bhp was not to bad was hoping for around 350,but the torque figuer was well down Thing is tho so was everybody elses mine and most others over 300bhp were spinning on the rollers,1 guy made 389bhp with 300lbt yet a month ago@another r.road he made 392bhp 370lbt.
Conlution:

Iam certain the torque figuers are wrong,in a few weeks iam going to try and get on a dyno pack at least this way wheels wont be spinning and i will get a more acurate fig.

Has anyone else ever experianced this@Powerstation

I've got a Type R v3 1997, RR'd with full decat
Apexi Induction
HKS EVC4
it made 310BHP/297Ft/Lb near standard

Ive just got a FMIC, 550's 20g, headers. apfc mapping etc... but its not fitted yet. I hope i get more than 350bhp or thats alot of money for nothing. I'm sure your torque figure is well off, in not sure if a slipping clutch would give a trany loss on the rollers?

Juliano your torque does seem a little low, but if everyones was......
I just got back from Scoobyclinic
Car made 347.7BHP/330Ft/lb
Pleased with that from a TD05 16G 90degree entry.
