Default No power

Hello,
My MY99 UK Scoob has developed a problem.
After driving on the motorway for approx 1 hour at about 85ish I came off the motoway and then went to accelerate from the roundabout, it accelerated very slowly and did not seem to boost. The car revs freely when stood still but under load it will not rev quickly at all feels like it has about 60bhp!!!.

I have called in at Prosport and they have run a diagnostics check and cannot find a problem on it. Due to their fire the rolling road is not up and running untill end of next week were they can fix the problem easily.
i can wait till then but miss a track day I have organised

Firstly they suspected a lambda sensor but the diagnostics get a signal from it.

I suspect that maybe the cat has colapsed and is restricting the power? how would i test this?

Any one got any ideas?

Cheers Andy

I doubt the lambda, cos you should be able to unplug it and the car run fine.....

Secondly, what has been done to the car..?? decat?? is the original downpipe still in place..??? etc etc etc....

Car is standard, only engine mod as such is a scoobysport back box. Mechanically the engine seems fine no noises etc. Exhaust note does seem to be slightly noisier, slightly blowing noise I would say. Car had a new MAF sensor last year so I doubt it is that.

Have you sorted it yet Andy?
The same has just happened to me today, car not boosting, feels like theres no turbo, and the sound of the car has changed.

Thats the culprit, I took the intercooler off, all pipes where ok, Took the heat sheild off, 10 hours later (LOL not realy but it felt like that) found that the poxy little e clip had come of the acuator!!!!! 1/2 to put it all back together, Took it out for a spin, Floored it and promptly went up the road sideways I had still got mud on the tyres from the brother-in-laws workshop LOL. Full power is resumed!

Cheers for the help guys

I just bought a '03 WRX with 21k miles on it. As described above, it has no power, no boost at all. So far i found the following recommendations:
Loose hoses, wastegate actuator, ecu reset.
Any other sugestions?
Thanks
