After fitting a full HKS decat system I expected a little more performance as the 2 cats had been removed. Shortly after fitting i suffered some idle problems ending with the cel coming on but with no noticeale increase in grunt. This seems to have settled down now but my question is would i benifit from havng the engine remaped? Its an sti import on a 94 plate.

I think that the standard ecu cannot be remapped so you would need something different like powerfc, tek3, link etc.
I would try an ecu reset as well to clear the cel to see if this makes any difference.
