Question power loss

its a sti 96 import de-restricted full de-cat induction kit and bailey piston dump valve NO gauges so i dont know how much boost is given
i have two questions if any one could help

1) when accelerating between 4-5000 rpm the whole car dies i dont mean stalls but the speedo just drops like the engine has been turned off and it judders like mad until you ease off or change gear then it comes back to life.

2) emissions they will not come down no matter what i do i have replaced the cat the old airbox and removed the dump valve but nothing its droped a bit but not enough

please can any 1 advise me i no next to nothing about scoobys so be gentle

hi the first thing i would do is check the maf sensor and the lambda sensor these are part of what controls emissions i think also this my solve both your problems anyway hope this helps

hi matt thanks for the reply its just had a brand new lamda sensor and the maf seams ok i mean the car cuts out as soon as it it disconnected

try cleanng out the boost control solenoid, it sounds like you are hitting fuel cut due to overboost!

Check that the boost hoses are tight, and try spraying a little WD40 into the dumpvalve as this may be sticking
