fmic for my93
I'm planning to install one of these on my type ra and was interested to hear any hints/tips/problems from people who've done it so i'll have a better idea of what im in for.
Any help on pipe routing and any hole cutting including any pics will be appreciated.
I'm thinking of getting an oil cooler i/c to fit in the space the tmic will vacate. Has anybody attempted this or know of a kit that'll do the job
Thanks in advance
93 type ra, z4 ecu, soon to be decatted, backbox, panel filter, standard otherwise

When the cars sorted out i was going to ask about a remap
Do you know what type of remap would be best suited for the mods fitted/

Ehh I wouldn't drive the car if you're going to fit all the mods before the remap. You would be better getting a remap done with the current mods and then when you change something get the map tweaked.
If you are going to drive the car with all the mods fitted on a standard ECU then I would suggest driving OFF boost otherwise you could say bye bye to your engine.
If you're looking for a FMIC then give Harvey a shout. He sells the Hybrid ones and they are really good quality and quite easy to fit. You will need to take out the pipe which feeds cold air to the air box from the inner wing and cut out a hole in the inside of the wing for the pipe to fit through. The bumper will also need to be modified to accommodate the intercooler.
Here is a picture of one fitted to my car.
