Don't do it. Can damage your intercooler etc. PM Stickymicky, see what he suggests, he runs a wash. Think there was a thread on here somewhere about it.

Ok cheers for the response. I thought it would be a bad idea but me engines filthy and loads of power steering fluid on it where ive had me pump changed.

Get som CD2 from Halfords.

Works a treat, you get both the cleaner, and the laquer for afterwards.

Seen a few threads about CD2 on here will give it a go next week. Is it best to just use a hose or a pressure washer to clean it off with.

been using CD2 or similar for a long time, no probs just be sensible with the amount of water you use and make sure the engine is running

As Eric says. I cover the alram and other obvious bits and use the hose pipe on a very very light spray. Keep the car running and usually take it for a good run after everthings been done. Costs £8.00 or so, takes 30 mins and looks fantastic.
