Default removing induction kit maf issues

replacing the induction kit on the scoob i have just got,i am putting the oe filter unit back,is there going to be any issue's with the maf or anything,just thought i would get some feedback before tampering

Think it just learns as it goes along. what year ?

2001 wrx prodrive thingy,just a guy i know(mentioning no names)changed his oe box for an induction and his maf went south,luckily his is under warranty but if mine goes it's hand in pocket time

i changed my filter from a k&n induction kit to the origanal airbox with a green panel filter the idleing was up and down straight away answer new maf 75 squids from monteys thats on a p1

On my MY99 I changed from OE to ind kit then back six months later and it was fine.
Maf eventually went FUBAR about 8 months down the line.
I understood the ECU “learns on the hoof" so as long as you are careful with the maf (no chucking about) then presumably you should be ok.
