be very wary because the floor is NOT strong enough to support a set of seats bolted directly through it!!
to fix secure/safely you need to install extra cross bracing for the side-mounts to attatch to, if your unsure in any way then contact a pro to do the welding as this is a matter which you will rely on in any accident, however minor.............

Very tricky job, its best to get a pro do it for you. There are the adjusable sparco mounts with can be fitted beter but dont sit flat on the floor. so can run on the front beam to the original mounts, but these stil need loads of work and positioning i managed to re drill them so is fitted to the oe mounts, but still had to have the last one welded up.

What a pain of a job!
I made my own to give a flat 'surface' onto whick I bolted my seat.
The frame rails I made are using the Subaru bolt points, no welding.
All the above advice is utterly correct. If in doubt get a pro to do it.
I think Town End Garage sell weld-in seat supports (?)
Only last week i looked at using the stock seats lower frame/adjuster and mount the Sparco onto that, but i'm not too sure until I actually get the parts.
I think Alyn (Stockcar) will do this work for you?
Do not underestimate the messing about this job entails.

Can someone then guide me through, exactly what is needed then.
Panelbeater by trade and welding isn't a problem, am i just looking at welding in some super strong plates, or is there more to it?

Could someone post pics of the mods they have had to make for these seat mounts?
I have no problem with the welding as my brother is a welder
cheers

RGS Motorsport fitted mine. They fabricated two mounting plates which bolt into the standard seat mounting points. This is a faff as the floor is not even and also the mounting holes are at various different angles.. They then bolted the Cobra side mounts (essentially the same as Sparco ones) onto this and in turn bolted the seats to the side mounts.
This picture shows it (kind of) - not easy to get a pic as most of the stuff is hidden.
