Hi,

I am after some advice please if possible....onder2:

I have a 99 WRX (Import) which has been fairly heavily modified....

I currently have a Greddy 518Z Turbo on the car and was wondering if anyone can tell me how good this Greddy turbo is (Hopefully someone might have one) as until i get the ECU installed I cannot run it at any real boost. This is because I have been offered the chance to buy a Garrett Upgrade (Not sure of type yet but normally costs about £3000 but would prefer to spend my money on an engine rebuild if this greddy turbo is any good.

Has anyone got any advice as to what to get or any helpful info before I buy this new turbo??

I have already uprated the safety side (Suspension/Brakes etc) and my car Currently has the following Mods...

Greddy 518Z Turbo, Greddy front mount intercooler, 2 x HKS Blow Off Valves, HKS Induction kit (Possibly changing to APS Cold Air), Greddy Full de-cat 3.5 inch Exhaust system, Greddy Oil Cooler, Uprated Fuel Pump and HKS Earth System, Samco Hoses.

It will shortly be getting a full Gems ECU and remap by G-Force Motorsport but would like to know where I go from here and what the experts of you out there would recommend.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated as this is the first car I have ever modified.

I thinks the 518z is basically a Td05/18g and should be good for 350+.

A Garret turbo costing £3000 you sure?

Hi,

I'm not sure of the Exact Turbo on offer yet. I have been offered one at a majorly discounted rate from the guys in Cyprus where I originally started modifying my car.

If I do sell it then I'll be happy for any offers.

Any suggestions on what turbo's would be best??
