Unhappy Worst Fear Confirmed

Hi all,

I've put up a few posts looking for help regarding loss of coolant, well took it to my local subaru dealer they changed the coolant and advised it was a fault in the radiator cap and that is why water was coming out of the expansion tank.

Got the coolant changed been running it for about the last week took it out for a good run last sat stopped at light to finds lots of smoke coming from under the hood, took it to my local dealer advised head gasket has gone, holy sh*t comes to mind.

Now the question is, is there any guys out there based in or around the Glasgow area who can advise of a good garage who will do a decent job, I've been thinking of using either The Garage Performance tuners in wishaw or SRE Motor sport in paisley. Also thought about taking the car back to where I got it Calder Motor but don't think it would be wise to drive it 50 miles with the gasket gone, I could be wrong?

Any advice most welcome,

thanks in advance.

Alan.
