Hi, I'm looking for some advice if anyone can help please.

I'm just about to fit a TD05/06 20g to my already modded STI V5 before a remap with BR next week.

My question is that whilst I know that the 550's would be fine for the circa 360bhp I'm hoping to make, would there be any advantages in fitting some 740's with the multi spray, i.e in terms of performance or economy.

The only thing with 740's is obviously the difference in price, about £40 and the fact that they'll need slightly modding to fit the OEM connectors.

i would go for the 740's. Mine 550's where maxed out by the td05-20G
And i think it's better to drive on 70% idc instead of 90%+ on the 550cc's

Thanks David, I shouldn't be running too much for the 550's though as I'll be having it mapped on just Optimax, looking for around 360-370.

i don't know if you want to go any further.....if so it's better to go for the 740's otherwise the 550's should do but are pretty quick maxed out if you go any higher on the boostlevel and try to reach the 400bhp

TD05-06 20G and 550cc injectors will run around 380-400 bhp before both are around the limits of their ability on road fuel with all supporting mods. the 550s will work OK but if you want to go further then it has to be 740s.
Why not ask Bob Rawle for his advice as confirmation.

I received a reply from Bob today and he said pretty much the same as you in that there's no real need to go for the 740's unless I'm looking to uprate the internals and run 400 + which for now I've no intentions of doing......well not for a while

So 550's it is !
