Cool Interesting Article ....

http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost...ion_deeper.htm

It even mentions Cylinder #3 Myth .... yes, thats what it is, a Myth!!

It reads:-

"Here is another piston photo, claimed to be from the 'notorious' cyl#3

If you believe the myth, there is a design flaw that leads to the inevitable demise of piston#3. In reality bad fuelling or excessive cylinder pressures are usually to blame.

#3 is simply a bit more likely to buy the farm first - being closest to the turbine wheel it shows slightly higher EGTs"

Like I said, interesting.

errrmmm myth? last to receive fuel therefore possibility of reduced pressure, ie. less fuel... and hottest due to nearest to turbo.. so how is that a myth? both heat and possible fuel problem.. you have contradicted yourself no?

THAT is a brilliant site. I have been banging on about exactly this type of stuff for years Especially his useless MODS section. Everytime I tried to imply that a certain modification or suppliers claim was bollox, I'd get shouted down by the "I've just paid a fortune for that mod so it MUST be good" brigade.
