help with exhaust blow
i have a exhaust leak somewhere below the turbo, and from what i can make out is that it is the up pipe ??? i assume this is the link between the manifold and turbo ?? before i investigate further as to whether it is the turbo joint or manifold joint ,has anyone else experienced this and is it a common problem.

if not, your correct it's the Turbo up pipe.

If you've got the standard headers, then the only joint you can't see from under the car is the top of the uppipe to the bottom of the turbo.
If you get under the car and check them all, and can't see any evidence of blowing, then you can probably fairly safely assume that it's blown at the top of the uppipe

No cat in the up-pipe so really no point in a after market pipe unless its cracked/damaged and thats whats causing the exhaust leak.As already said all of the manifold joints and the lower up-pipe joint are easily accessed from under the car,If its not one of them its probably the top of the up-pipe where it joins the turbo thats blowing

If it's the standard up-pipe, it has a flexible section on it, mine started to blow from that. Could only see the split after I removed it and pulled of the heat sheilds.
