Right i had a downpipe fitted about a couple of weeks ago and when it was fitted and that i had no check light on.
Was in Essex today going to a BBQ and when on the motorway i put my foot down and the light has come on and wont go off.
Is this the Downpipe causin that?
Im 90% sure it is.

Did you fit a CEL fix box? This by passes the sensor that senses no cats on the exhaust

all i have done is fitted a full haywood and scott system.

 

Have you totally decatted the car? What year is it?

If its a newage then you have to fit the CEL fix box, if not the sensors senses there are no cats in the exhaust and the CEL comes on.

if its still for sale, its for an 01/02 but I think they are the same

Just a case of snipping a couple of wires and joining them to the box

Get a Remap while im at it to!!

Im 99% its because it aint got the CEL on it.
