if they are the Denso 550cc injectors you will need a fitting kit for the subaru fuel rails, there are a few people on here doing these kits.

you will also need to remove the plastic runners on the side of the injectors to allow the subaru plugs to fit onto the injectors.

you will also need to adjust your ecu to be able to run with these injectors.

hope this helps

They are Denso aparently they come with adaptors (is this what you mean by the fitting kit?)

I have a pfc which is mapped to 1.25bar if i fit these injectors will i be able to drive my car(of boost) before the re-map i plan to have done??

yes thats what i ment by fitting kit.

you will need to adjust the injector % with the commander in order for it to run properly.

If you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, you can decrease the pressure a bit, then it will be fine to run off boost.

Its a my 97 v4 sti type r
So basicly i need to fit the injectors just before the map, only probem is were ever i have it mapped will involve a fair journey so that means fitting wen i get there!
Dont think the mapper will want to wait as i fit them.

my comander is locked and dont have a fpr.

Changing injectors only takes a few minutes with the correct tools, why not change them immeditely prior to the mapping session (perhaps have a trial fit first).

I didn't have to do anything to the injectors to get my UK98 wiring to fit my Denso injectors?

yeah it looks like you will have to have them fitted at the mappers, who is doing your mapping?

I'd give it a practice run. Fit the injectors and fire it up. It should run OK if a little lumpy at idle - the ECU should be able to cut the IDC's to an acceptable AFR closed loop if you are going from 440's to 550's.

Then if you have a leaky injector (wrt cylinder) you will know about it now rather than at Pavlo's - it'll run like its on 3 (if at all) with one cylinder flooded.

This will also check that the fitting kit actually works - people have had issues with the early fitting kits and the larger pintle denso's. It will aslo check the injectors don't leak in the rails.

You can always refit the 440's if the mapping is weeks away

i fitted mine the day of re-mapping
but,had to drive 100 miles to get there

i was strongly advised to keep it off boost and dont go above 3000 rpm
bloody slow 100 miles but all worked out in the end
