I keep getting an intermittent fault whilst driving. My ECU "Check Engine" light flicks on for about 1 min then goes off, or it goes off if i turn the ignition on and off.

The car is not in "return to home" mode when it does come on so this leads me to believe its nothing serious and it only comes on every now and then, sometimes going a month without coming on.

BUT !!!

I do want to find out what the fault is and fix it straight away.

How do i go about reding the ECU fault codes?

Is there anywhere where i can get a fault code table that links the code the the failed part?
