i am thinkin of putting a decat downpipe on my 99 uk spec, is it just a case of getting it fitted or will i start to have running problems, if so what else do i need to do?

You won't pass an MOT with a full decat but if you re-install the centre cat and get it nice and hot it might pass.

Someones bound to qoute me wrong but I was under the impression that a full decat should release 20bhp

Shoudl get better throttle response and turbo spool up will be more obvious so im told

I decated my old '97 classic - downpipe only. Passed the MOT with flying colours and spooled up a lot faster. I'm not sure if it made any more power but it was a hell of a lot nicer to drive.

You must have left the centre pipe cat in then.

Any downpipe with an open neck is a good bet. Keep your eye in the for sale section as they come up quite often, otherwise, Hayward and Scott or Scoobysport are the best.
