Unhappy Check Engine Warning Light

Standard 97 Turbo with 90K.

The check engine warning light came on when I pulled off the motorway Friday night.

I had had 3 bursts of going very quickly for a minute or so each over about quarter of an hour before pulling off.

When I reached the top of the slip road the warning light came on, as the revs built up as I pulled on to the A road it went out again and didn't come back on.

I'm running on fully synth Motul.

Wondered if it may be something to do with oil pressure as it went off with a few revs (2500 / 3000?), but the oil light didn't come on.

Any reassurance / advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello clintuk visit this website and follow the intructions for ecu diagnostics as the ecu might shed some light on why the light came on.

Doesn't the light have to be on all the time for this to work. I reset my ECU about 6 weeks ago, after oil change & air filter etc... but nothing showed up then. I'll have another look.
