Default Start God Dam It!!

Hi All

Past week or two the scoob is having problems starting from over night or good few hours between starts . It will turn over but not quick enough to get running properly. Just spits and splutters then cuts out. Try again and whey hey away we go as iff nothing is wrong !

All plugs coils etc great condition - just had engine rebuild 2 months ago.

Did have issue with starting it though and it got turned over a hell of a lot so im guessing the starter motor is on its way out and gone weak. Just after some thorts or if im on the right lines.

cheers

tim

More likely to be your battery Tim. Is your fuel pump priming ok when you turn the ignition key to ON (not START)??

battery, and crank/cam sensors are likely culprits. Check earthing too

Could also be the connection between battery and starter. Had the same with mine for over 3 months and found out that the battery had some corrosion on it

sensors are fine, battery is great i have a volts gauge, no corrosion its all hunky dory!
Could be a good idea for me to check the grounding of it though, noticed i got a few shocks after driving the car and getting out, never had them from it before but has started pretty mych same time as starting problem

thanks for the replies by the way and does no one think the starter could be iffy?

tim

edit to say - fuel pump bang on ok too, its a walbro bin in bout 6 months and works great.
