Default Rev's increase when changing gear

Anyone have any ideas on this one :

When I floor the clutch to change gear I notice that the revs increace slightly. Almost like a little blip of the throttle - is this normal ?

Car is a 2003 WRX

Yes....its normal when u are used to other cars....

Because of the boost and dump valve actuation, u need to lift off the gas a little before hitting the clutch for changing gears. Try and you'll get used to...and find that sweet spot of time between lifting off (slightly) and clutching in

Mine does it too... but I keep a bit of throttle on during the change anyway... seems to help prevent any serious lag.
