Question Equal lenth headers. What sound?

Does anyone have EL headers on there scoob??

Whats the sound difference? I know you loose the burble but cant imagine a scoob without that sound. Ive heard from people they sound better than the burble with a high pitched whistle at max revs.

Is this true??

the standard headers sound gr8 but nothing prepares you for the sound of the e/l headers on boost mine sounds like a gsxr on methane and yet ***** cat quiet on idle also power and torque gains are worth the change alone another thing to think about is the vibration is reduced because there is no out of balance in the manifolds i personally think they are a good upgrade but if you like the burble then not for you m8

Thanx for the replys guys.

I guess the main reason more people dont have them is down to the loss of the burble.

from what I have found is it all depends on the back box, my original firestorm sounded terrible with tubular headers , the hks hiper sounded ok some of the big jap boxs sound even better

none of which sound as good as the std manifold imho BUT its not terrible and the car does go like stink

becare full which ones you buy I am not the only one to bust a set of cheap jap ones

I guess I do miss the burble, but love the sound of my equal length headers, in conjunction with straight through 3" exhaust
Don't really know what to compare it to noise wise, perhaps a motorbike when WOT, + love the increase in torque and BHP these give you over the stock ones.

Genuine equal length will lose the burble and on power the car sounds more like a four cylinder Japanese superbike.
