Default Car not running well after 4000rpm...help needed

hi

i have started to have a problem after the 4000rpm, when i floor the car on every gear, the rpm doest goes up smooth as before, it kind of jerks....well something like that with i cant describe... it just doest feel right and its okay if i acc. slowly up the rev.... only happens when i floor it...

anyone have had this before??

help needed

What MY is the car?
Does it mainly happen on boost?

its a STI V2 RA
does not have a boost gauge... so i cant tell....

Try to get the coilpacks checked. I had the same problem on my MY95. It was great off boost but just died if I floored it.

Could be plugs too, worth checking them.

The garage (non main dealer) where I had my car serviced managed to check mine, not sure how the did it though.

i`ve had same symptoms on my 99,turned out to be MAF sensor.

No fault codes on ECU,accelerated ok off boost then if you booted it just hesitated.
New MAF fitted and back to normal no hesitation just smooth acceleration.
