Just looked behind the PC and it's a complete mess of everything including old beano comics (not mine) and a pile of "stuff" from UEFA Euro 2004 in Portugal !! (also not mine) !! Not a serial port in sight as AFAIK the MK 1 has no USB connection !

I'll have a go tomorrow in the daylight !!

Cheers

Could be com port setting, in r/a settings or
Press the menu button a few times till you get to GPS, if it has 5 solid blocks, press delete, then store. If you use it for sat nav. you have to re-set blocks in GPS.

Hope it makes sense, or even helps

Martin

Just checked my road angel in the car and it only has a serial port on the back.... I have updated it (once) last year but given there are no fixed speed camera's in Cumbria I use it mainly as a speedo. Like Micared it sometimes doesn't seem to wake up for quite a few miles

I update mine every couple of weeks, but I have to disable Norton Internet Security for it to work. It took me a while to work out that this was causing an issue. I guess I just need to play around with the Norton settings if I want it enabled whilst synchronising.

also anything that uses the com port such as palm hotsync software and mobile phone connection software can mess it up so you have to disable that as well.

Yep, disable firewall and disable camera ports/software etc that could use the same port.
