Intercooler scoop moulding

Intercooler scoop moulding
I've just bought an STi v4 TMIC for my MY95 WRX. I need to get a suitable intercooler scoop moulding to feed the air from the scoop to the IC, which is str8, rather than slanted.
Are all newer car mouldings suitable (eg UK cars), or do I specifically need one from an STi?
Thanks
David

You can fit a real Sti8 scoop to your bonnet. Fitting is all different.
You can get a custom scoop in the form of the Sti8 to fit your bonnet exactly:
www.skoops.co.uk and others I think supply.
I just found and won a scoop on Eb@y for £72, painted the right colour even!

I just bought scoops from that website. They are for replacing the fake grills on either side of the bonnet, not replacements for the main IC scoop.
Do you know of another supplier for the IC scoop??
Thanks

Are you taking about the feed under the bonnet or the scoop on top of the bonnet. The scoops on DRs website etc will not aid you feeding the air to the intercooler due to the angled ducting under the bonnet. Best to get rid of this and get a post97 version (UK and STi are the same) from a breakers and 'bodge' it onto your bonnet. Or better still fit the later style bonnet, grill and headlights then the underboonet feed will bolt straight on.

As Tone says, if you talking about the scoop undertray then either get one from a MY97/8 (any one from that year should fit) or make your own
Sheet of ali. Draw round the outside of your old undertray and mark the holes. Cut it out so there is no hole in the middle.
Remove your scoop and fit the new undertray and mark were the hole on the bonnet is/IC sits.
Cut out and finish with a suitable seal to the IC

Yeah Tone, you hit the nail on the head there. It's what's going on underneath to get the air from the scoop into the IC.
I'm gonna take a look at my mate's UK MY98 and see what I can do. Might see if I can steal his duct when he's not looking.
If the attachment is much different, I'll take Dyney's idea, but not sure about the seal (the ali bit's easy).

For the seal I used an old bit of car door seal as a temp measure
I'm sure you can find something more suitable if you look hard enough.
Have a Look at 911 or Floyd's threads in "Projects". A bit of draft excluder goes a long way
Or use the seal off your old undertray.
