Default overfuelling

i went on the rollers the other week and got pathetic results, the bloke said the car was overfuelling quite badly it was putting in 15.2 when it should be 11.5-12 (his figures)

i have the apexi ecu and the fuel pressure regulator which andy set hasnt moved. while fitting a new tmic my friend said there was a bad smell of petrol near the fpr and the injector barrel could a leak in one of these cause it to over boost as its trying to compensate for the lost fuel.

i also put some injector cleaner to flush out any crap that might be in the injectors but no results there.

When he said it was putting in 15.2 was he refering to the CO level as this would be considered extremely lean if it was AFR. Nominally the AFR should around ~11.2 - 11.6AFR when on boost.

Cheers

The fuel schedule follows the boost curve not the other way round so a leak wouldn't cause the boost to rise. Have you carried out any other mods since the ECU was installed and mapped?? It may well be that the injector duration is now too long for the combustion cycle and therefore making the mixture too rich.
Would be worth taking the car back to your mapper to see what the schedules look like through the range. Would also suggest you have a look at your air filter and confirm it's not clogged up.

im not to sure what he was referring to i thought he was saying the amount of fuel going in was 15.2 but should be 11.5-12 when on full boost so im running very rich.

i fitted a new tmic last week but the problem has been going on for about 3-4 weeks
