That's the law I'm afraid.
Put your cat back?
Find a garage that is Scooby friendly and has a centre section cat just for such cases?

What model/year of car is it? Some older Jap imports do not need a cat. If it is a uk car then you will need to put a cat in. Its a thing that many owners do and some garages that specialise in Subaru have cats that they put in for the MOT.

Take mine to a garage which 'replaces' the cat for the test. It charges me around £50 for the privilage but it passes and I get an emmission print out. What really happens I have no idea and don't care as long as I get a pass!

Don't forget the test computer readout is or soon will be connected to the MOT Certificate Printout sent to DLA. Therefore Plod will know if you are legal or not. How they check I don't know. They may take you to a test centre. Big brother is watching!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But in the case of the emissions - if its all linked up I guess you can still use a donor car

Didnt seem to need to go to the garage last time at all
