Default removing sealant / silicone

due to lack of ground clearance ive had to take the splitter off my front bumper.

managed to get that off ok but im left with a load of adhesive / sealant still attached to the bumper.

anyone got any idea on how to get it off without damaging the paint ?? it doesnt seem to want to peel

Stu Stu Stu - why why why???????????????
That front spoiler set the car off - plus it wasn't that low - I had no probs with multi-storeys.
Remove the obstacle, and keep the spoiler

Sounds a bit late for that Hairdryer seems to be favourite when changing rear light clusters, should work fine for this too

Well he could put it back on

there is some stuff that we have at work especially for removing sealant. You just put it on and leave it for a couple hours. Its safe on paint too. Ill have a look to see what its called tomorow if you wish? Better that then rub away at it with anything else and scratch the paint.

andy if you could find out what it is that would be cool.

stu - i agree it looks totally different without the splitter , but practicality says it needs to go im afraid it allmost scrapes just getting down our drive !! and due to the fact i drive across fields / farm tracks everyweek its just gonna be a problem if i left it on.
