Hello, this is my first post. I've just bought a '99 UK spec Impreza turbo, but thats not why im posting this. My cousin has a '95 WRX and it normally starts straight away, however now its not. It turns over but its not firing, I know there counld be loads of reasons for this, but im wondering if its a common problem and that someone will know why? Cheers, Shane.

I had the same problem last week with my newly imported 95 wrx. It was running fine one day then next day just trying to start but once i stopped cranking the engine it just died. I replaced the spark plugs not expecting for 1 minute this was the problem but needed to start somewhere and hey presto it ran as sweet as anything . I also noticed i had forgot to replace the small breather pipe on the underside of the air filter box when i had changed the filter. dont know which it was causing the problem but its been fine since so definatly worth a try. let us know if it works.

My MY99 did this at the start of December - battery was knackered. If it was left on a charge overnight it would start fine in the morning but after a couple of days it was back to not starting.

60 quid battery from Halfrauds and it was sorted.
