Lightbulb fse reg. question

i need to set my fuel requlator up with no guage! (just to drive it to scoobyclinic) can someone count the number of visible threads on the adjustment ubove the locking nut?? and qutoe the direction the start of the thread points to? bit of a strange request, this one...

Why not just leave it at factory default and just take it easy?

On the instructions that came with mine it say a 1/4 turn clockwise is reccomended for most cars, anymore and it will enrich the mixture too much. Not sure if these questions are scooby specific though.

that would be ok, its not at the factory default at the moment though. its definatly enriched too much. its second hand and was a bitch to fit!

Tell me about it, i havent fitted mine yet, read the instructions took one look at the engine bay and though **** it LOL.

I can have a look when i get home though, and count the threads, mine is still set to factory defaults.

by the way i hold the record for the longest time to fit one of there @4 hours!! and the most damage done to hands/fingers!! got it all fitted turned the ignition on and it turned out id split the o-ring... so another trip to the shop again... 3 in total!! its all good fun...

whereabouts is this fabled o ring? keep hearing about people breaking them. Im going to leave it well alone now and get someoen who knows what they are doing to fit it

Thee o-ring is the one on the adaptor for the standard reg. The o-ring on the OE reg is much better quality. I split the one supplied also.
