Default power increases definitive answers ?

hi all,

is there a thread or a link or a website where i can get accurate, reliable information on how to increase the power output on my bugeye '00 estate stage by stage. i.e. exhaust, remap, etc, as it is a pain looking through the whole of scoobynet with snippets here and there. (this might sound like a whinge but it is not meant to be, as i would not have been able to buy my car without the wealth of information on this brilliant site !!!).

cheers, graeme.

Don't know of a site/page that gives all the info in one hit, but having done the leg work myself in the last couple of months (for my 02WRX), I can wholeheartedly recommend going for Samco intercooler hoses kit, green cotton filter, up-rated fuel pump, de-cat up pipe, sports cat down pipe, de-cat centre & sports back box (WR Sport in my case) & bespoke ecutec remap.

For very little increase in overall noise level at a steady cruise (a glorious deep growl when hard on it), the improvement in power is wonderful, especially the increased mid range driveability which makes overtaking a doddle & switchbacks an absolute joy.

As a package it's claimed to be worth approx 30% more power & in total will cost less than £2300 (inc VAT) if you shop around - a lost less if you find the right hardware second hand & join in with a group buy for the remap.

Just a case of finding the ££££££££.........
