Headgasket? more than likely
or smelted a piston possibly
at the rr sesion i take it was for a power run only if so the problem sounds like bad luck
im no turbo specialist (im learning though) but the problems you have sound mechanical failure wether its map sensor being changed that caused it i wouldnt know
bob rawle or sombody like that would i guess

not if its only just gone
depends also where the breach is if its not gone into the oil gallery then itll take a while to get into the oil
whip your plugs out and see if 1 has been steam washed costs nothing
if 1 is totally different colour to the rest then you know somthings up
misfire i would normally say change plugs first as cheap option but the white smoke you mention kinda pushes you into looking for a mechanical failure
if all plugs look same then take it for a good thrash and kill it properly joke

Wah what boost did you run at?
I think it may be turbo bearings that have over heated/failed.
If you are using a standard TD05H turbo then the bearings are pretty basic.
It may just need a recon with uprated 360 degree thrust bearings.(I think they are 270 degree as standard)

You cant really get white smoke, if its white its steam...no good dude.
As above it will probably be a headgasket, there are varying degrees or severety when it comes to gasket failure and with that sort of output on a std gasket you'll most likely find the fire-ring has gone on one of the cylinders. Either that or you've cracked the block!
Thing is with 300bhp+ you cant really expect std engines to cope without the appropriate modification.
Good luck with the rebuild tho...328bhp sounds nice!

piston then do you think??
pistons £400
headgaskets £100
arp headstud n nut kit £110
if its cracked the block its gonna be expensive
if the engines in bits i would chuck in some forged steel rods while your on with it £400
then you can take it to 400 bhp

I wouldnt assume its a piston, hot oil will produce smoke even on a healthy engine when you open the filler cap, and a holed piston alone wont put white smoke out the exhaust, if anything it will be blue smoke due to oil.
