Dials on a 95 WRX
Can anyone tell me if the needles on the cluster in my car are supposed to light up?
Find it a little difficult seeing what speed i'm doing when driving at night.

The standard Scooby dash lighting is pretty grim.

I have white dials on mine and don't have a problem seeing the needles at all.
What about getting a tin of fluorescent paint and paint the needles a brighter colour. Sounds daft, but hey, if it works!

All cars back as far as I can remember have had lit up needles (when you turn the lights on). It's just surprising that a Jap car (Import) which was technilogically ahead of the game back in 1995 (air con as standard, retractable mirrors, lecky windows all round etc etc) is missing something as simple as lit needles on the cluster.
Hey ho ......... having said that I don't have a clock in my car (apart from the one on the non standard stereo!) .........anywhere !
Just have to put up then ........... or fluorescent paint !
