Default M99 UK PPP - 95RON Fuel

I have a UK spec MY99 with PPP and induction kit. I always run it on 98 RON fuel. Would running the car on 95 RON cause potential engine problems etc.

I am wondering as I am spending more on 98 RON fuel but have always felt it being worth it. I have just done a search on here and it talks a lot about imported cars requiring the 98 but nothing about UK spec'ed ones.

Issues such as making the car more prone to det or knocking seem to be raised in threads but generally tend to be talked about when concerning import cars running on UK fuel??

A standard UK car should be OK on 95 RON (but is not a good idea at all). One with PPP fitted won't be.

Get a knock link fitted and try it if you don't believe me...

Save pennies now...and you will only end up paying later, worse to worse maybe an engine rebuild...
Don't do it...
