Question Bug Eye Side Repeaters Installation

Hi all, and a merry xmas!

I got a couple of nice pressies for my car off the missus, and she seems to have got me some useful stuff, so the hints weren't wasted after all!

I've fitted my crystal indicaters but am struggling to work out how to fit some clear side repeaters (02 bug eye) as they are not covered in the Scoob manual and have got wiring and stuff!

I was wondering if anyone knew how to go about this, and if so, can you tell me please?

Cheers,

MichaelH.

Hmmm, just fitted my to a 97 Turbo....they just push forward and come out.

Fitted new ones (after getting left and right wrong way around) very easy.

Guess that doesn't help you much though!....unless they're the same on your model

They need to be wired from fresh. Find side indicators and splice them together.

Cheers Jowl, I'll have another look and see if that helps, though i suspect I'm going to have to lever them out with a screwdriver or similar as for the indicators. Was very wary about doing those but the Subaru manual said to use a screwdriver, managed to avoid scratching the paintwork, much to my amazement!

The repeaters I've got have the lense and bulb in one unit, with the wiring coming out the back. Same 'diamond' shape as the existing one, think they're specific for the bug eye (maybe blob eye too).

What I need to do really is just suss out how to remove the existing ones (had a quick look but suspect there's a 'knack' to it) and I guess then its just a case of copying the wiring of the existing when fitting the new ones.

Have got an my01 bug and the repeaters should just push towards the front of the car and come out. Then plug in, no splicing required, well not when I fitted mine and they were geniune Subaru parts
