Default Anyone fitted an STi8 TMIC to an STi V5?

Just considerring it at the moment but would like to hear any tips from someone who has tried it???

Its the actual fit in the bay im concerned about and the location of the hoses, having not had my hands on an STi8 I/C

Presume you need the D/V with it?

Take a look on 22B web site, amd search. there is an article on the very thing there.
The DV is the issue. I will be putting mine on my Sti v3 in 7 days time....

its a tight fit but it goes in i use a forge VTA dump valve on mine , plus you will need the left hand bracket and some serious hammering to your right hand bracket

It definitely fits. I had an STI 8 TMIC in my classic with an STI 6 swap. The brackets are the only real issue; I had the bpv from the STI 8 and modified recirc piping to fit. Make sure you spend some time with the rubber seal on the bonnet scoop to ensure good flow through the intercooler. The original rubber seal is too small and may fold over, and removing it will reduce cooling efficiency because it will inhibit airflow through the core.

I was planning to make/fit a '2 blade' scoop to the Sti8 TMIC as in the 22B thread in 'Projects' I think this will delete the panel.rubber seal issue, and you hide the lot under an Sti7 scoop (as per Andy F)
