Default Lumpy steering on start up

My steering is lumpy for the first thirty seconds in the morning, like the power stering isn't working properly. Should I be concerned about this or is there a way to cure this?
Thanks

Sounds like the power steering belt is slack and just needs tightening.

Could be damp and slipping until water wears off, again new belt or tighten it up. Same thing can happen after its been washed Ill bet.

Mines the same at idle, as soon as I increse the revs it disappears. Is the steering hydraulic on an 03 model or electric?
