Unhappy exhaust advice please

hi people,

cut a long story short, the exhaust has snapped on my my96 jdm wrx at the front side of the back box where the pipe meets the box, guessing that its an aftermarket jap backbox/system probably on the car when first imported, as i know i only need to replace the back box, the problem i have is that i dont know what make it is other than it has gpower and the word medallion on it which i am guessing is the make (not one ive heard of) if i cant get the same replacement back box will any aftermarket backbox fit the system? which brings me to the next point, if the system is aftermarket how can i tell? if it is what are the chances of different brands marrying up? (ask a lot dont I! lol) or would it be easier and more sensible to buy a british marketed new system i.e magnex, scorpion? presuming they cater for the imported classics???

sorry its abit longwinded, really hope someones got the answers cos its christmas im skint and i dont wanna be without my car over the festive period.

many many thanks in advance
scott

I dont think it makes any difference to be honest. I have the same magnex kit on my 98 WRX. Sounds good too.
