STI sells as uprated plug the BKR7EIX with 0,6mm gap similar with the PFR7B but in iridium!
In my opinion 8's are to much for your needs, 15.5psi isn't "higher boost" if your car is MY01 upwards, even PPP WRX's that work at 17+ psi boost have not problem with the factory spark plugs.

I run those plugs, they are okay, would go with 7 range plugs for that boost.

I run PFR7B's at Bob Rawle's advice on my MY02 bugeye running 1.37 bar (just under 19psi)

As DaveW mentioned they might be changed at 10,000 miles

My cold starts are fine on racing 8s. There is a little hesitation on light throttle at 2800 RPM, idle is good considering the injector size, bore size and lightened flywheel.

Cold starts on the BKR8EIX iridiums are fine, no different to PFR7bs in my experience. They are not a retracted design like some of the racing plugs, and this definitely helps.
