It's basically 2 dawes devices in parallel, the switch is used to operate a solenoid, which will direct the bleed of air to the low setting or the high setting, so as it say's ,when pootling around town switch it to low and it will prevent the boost reaching it's Max target, should save fuel also.

Could be good in low mode, so you can catch your scoob in your Astra if it gets stolen. Max boost 4PSI. heheh

That's how i understand it

I'm wondering if you could use it so that the boost is always controlled by the ecu unaffected by the device except on WOT???

You just need a WOT throttle switch that closes a solenoid on the OE boost valve and the parallel dawes will then take over with pressure control.

I thought that just after i had typed it.

What problems could this cause (on a blobeye).

Sorry about all my stupid questions, The only power mod i've done so far is a turbo back decat. Boost gauge, afr and knock link would all be present before any power mods.

You may gain some power although some cars actually lose power as the ECU adds so much fuel when the boost increases.
A remap would be your best 'bang per buck' option.
