Question LSD question regarding oil (non scoob)

Hi

I own a Vauxhall ( ) Carlton 3000 gsi and the rear diff doesn't feel that tight on it like my old 12 valve one or the other one that I just sold, it spins up one the wheels easily where I believe it shouldn't This one that I have now is lower mileage than the other 2 and has been looked after but I wonder if it's possible that the rear axle could have been filled up using normal axle oil (not 100% sure about the garage who maintained it before I owned it knowing about LSD's) and what the effect would be. Would changing the oil and using LSD oil (which I believe to be different please tell me if I'm wrong) have any effect?

Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks
