which turbo spool up quicker ?
Trending Topics
For purely road use, the VF34 is about the best match of turbo I've found on a classic. Lacks the top end power of the TD05's and hybrids, but is very quick and smooth to respond.

outright.. ?? what??
.. I think the 05/06 would be fine for 'driving' too..
"boast about BHP!"
no need to boast about anything.
..so drive it nearer the spool point
do you need to go sub 3.5K ALL the time? you should get just as much driveability to a point just raise your revs?
do you live on the worlds twistiest single track road?
or are you another one who likes to drive @ 30mph in inner cities all the time ?
you obviously know best so I shall **** off.

who are you calling a muppet !
the reason that I want a quicker spooling turbo is I am used to instant power .......because I ride 1000cc supersport bikes as well as driving the scoob
does this answer your question Chrome ?

I suppose it depends on the roads you like/have to drive on. I know some of the leeds area 'monsters' are able to use their cars to their potential as the roads are LOOOOOOOONG and straight (and not that busy compared to darn sarf)
whereas if I lived in surrey I wouldnt want a very very quick car..
TD04 would do me fine

btw- curious as to why you are going from an MD304 to wondering about a VF?
was the MD to laggy for you?
MD305 is a nice compromise- but then I'm biased

after a ride on the R1
will try a VF 34 and see if it suite me
...... if not it will be for sale on here soon
I mean to be honest 350 bhp in around centre of Manchester is more than enough power if you know what I mean
....where as if I am on the bike I can avoid the traffic
ps...the MD on my car was only making 340 bhp !...so really want quicker spool up and around same top end
the wife moans every time I drive fast in the car anyway ,she said 350 is toooo quick for her !( VW polo 16v ).
and she never get on the back of my bike
....so it as fast as you like
