lambda sensor thread
Is my lambda sensor in my downpipe [decat] on my93 wrx, If so why is the thread much smaller than normal, or is it something else, 2 terminals silver braided cover connects under the boost solenoid. the probe is narrowtapering off and the plug is round with 2 spades inside . it is in the bottom of the downpipe ? any ideas
Is the light on the dash next to the cel it looks like an exhaust with small dashes above it the cat on fire warning light . as it has been flashing and the car has not been starting , until the 10 min flashing has finished ?
Yes,this is the exhaust gas temperature sensor light (the part fitted to the down pipe that you mention is this sensor, not the lambda.)
I have not tried disconnecting this on a wrx but I have on a crx and it didnt make a differeence.
In some cases you can put a resistor to it which will fool the ecu into thinking that the temperature is ok,but I havent done this myself.
