Default upgrading fuel pump

I'm hoping to upgrade to a TD05, believe I will need an upgraded fuel pump. Do I have to go for the 255l or will the 190l be sufficient

Depends on the mods you intend to do mate.

I use the walbro 255lt/hr with the FSE Fuel Presure Regulator, but i have the following:

HKS Induction Kit
Apexi full system from turbo back, decatted
Apexi AVCR Boost Controller
VOS Chip
TD05

List of things to do is
Decatting the uppipe and downpipe. TD05, FCD, New Induction Kit. The car already has PPP fitted and is MY01. There was no mention of having to get an uprated fuel pump, but after reading on here it seems to be the norm. But saw a post saying that 255l was possibly to much.

If I was you, I'd fit a 255 pump and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Then sell your PPP ecu, taking the buyer's AE80x standard ecu in part exchange, then Get that Tek3'd

IMO you're too far away from the spec that the PPP ecu was designed for

Richard

I wonder why all the people buy the Walbro 255l/h High Pressure pump and not the 190l/h when it gives usualy the required fuel without the need for adjustable fuel pressure regulator?
The 255 supplies excessive amounts of fuel and is for very high pressures while the 190 have similar flow to the factory one and doesn't change drastically the A/F.

Thanks Jim that's what I was getting at, if I don't need to buy a fuel regulator I don't want to, I'm all for trying to do it properly, but if I don't need it the money is better in my pocket.

Just had a look and the do a 255 pump that does not appear to be high pressure may be that would be the best bet?
