Red face Overdumping Dumpvalve??

Last night driving home, i thought 'this car is running like poo

a bit juddery (like running out of petrol) turned off the radio and it seems i have an over active dump valve (sounds like it s open all the time) hiss hiss even a ver low revs 2k!

its a forge VTA so im putting the origianal back on for now.

Questions-

Will this cause the symtoms described??

and secondly are Forge DV servicable?

Thanks Steve

Definitely serviceable...might be worth just stripping it and having a look to see if it's filled up with oil etc and got stuck.

Equally likely is that it's not your dumpvalve at all, and your intercooler hose as gota hole in it.

Er......yes?

I would open it up somewhere brightly lit.....and carefully.

I can't remember, but I THINK there is only the big spring inside the forge. I opened up my last dumpvalve inside a plastic bag. Everything pinged.....but it was all still in the bag

if it's the 007 d/v then you can unscrew the top and the spring will come out (wont fly out) - check to see if the piston works smoothly - might need lubing with oil
