Choices Dumpvalve
#1
Hello,
I'm considering to buy an Dump-to-Atmo dumpvalve for my Impreza MY99.
I've been looking around the internet, but can't make a choice.
I've seen the Forge, Bailey and HKS.
Can someone help me to make a choice.
Please also explain then why that type.
Does someone have movies/soundfragments of a Forge/Bailey or other dumpvalve?
What is the difference between the types from Forge/Bailey/HKS?
(in sound, options, rebuidable....)
With regards,
Hans de Jong

APS is the danglies. It has the ability to adjust the amount sent back to the airbox. Some cars have had fuelling issues with the reply pipe being removed...

Thnx for the replies.
HKS SSQV is a nice open Dump, but to be reasonable for myself, I find that one to expensive.
I'm considering the one from Bailey
Does anyone have experience with that one? (wav files, movies are also welcome)
Grtz

Dan - to shut the HKS SSQV up a bit, get the re-circ kit (£10!!! the cheapest thing HKS ever made, I think!) but don't recirulate. Gets rid of the 'peeeeeep' noise but you keep the excellent characteristics of the BOV.

I was looking in the Scoobysport shop, when I noticed the Bailey Dumpvalve.
I read the info and noticed the following:
" The second poston allows the car to idle perfectly and the the fuel mixture to remain unchanged."
Does this mean, that this dumpvalve in combination with a ScoobySport full Exhaust system, won't give flames?
Because the fuel mixture remains unchanged, so probably not rich running?
Also in this topic, the Turbo XS is mentioned.
Does anyone have a picture, website or other info, regarding this dumpvalve?
Is it really that loud?
With regards,
Hans

Deffo go for the forge one rather than the baileys one if you are considering the two....
I fitted a baileys to mine and took it straight back, if i wanted the baileys sound then i would spit out the window... The forge one was a lot louder, then i bought the HKS SSQ BOV...loudest of the three.
Not had the APS or Turbo XS one on my car but out of the three i have had the forge one was probably best due to the price, however the HKS just sounds quality!!!!!!!
