Well for example i have a 1995 WRX Classic and was looking to upgarde my suspension and was told to go for STI struts with uprated springs, so which model would i best go for, dont wanna go coilovers as too harsh for road use really, especially in N.Ireland.

Think all suspension up to 2000 is compatible with classic

Yeah STi is stiffer and it got stiffer every year up to including the STi6. I personally like the STi4 setup best for a road car - the STi 5 springs are about 20 lbs stiffer at the front and 10 at the back

Yep there you go - looks like STI 4->5 the spring rates went up by 30lbs at the front!

Like I said, I prefer STi 4 for road use - depends what you want. STi 6 stuff is rarer

http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/t...ng/spring.html has loads of spring rates including classic STi stuff.

I have STi6 Struts and Springs on my UK MY98 and the difference is astonishing, perhaps a bit too stiff for everyday use (but I don't use it everyday).
